About Alyssa

“Look good, feel good, be good” is my personal motto. I believe that when all three are aligned, we become UNSTOPPABLE.

create & liberate

Textured hair & natural beauty are celebrated here.

My natural hair journey began with a big chop in December 2017. The freedom, self love and growth that I’ve experienced along my journey is something I couldn’t keep to myself. If I can inspire ONE person to show up for themselves, and learn to love their most natural self, I’ve done my job.

connect & inspire

I’m here for the brown girls who don’t fit into the “typical” American beauty standard.

Representation MATTERS, and while we may have come a long way in the beauty industry, we still have far to go. I’m honored to create content that serves as an inspiration for other brown girls to love and embrace all the magic that they are.

Women are the blueprint
and I love that for us.

Over the years, the online community I’ve built has expanded across oceans. My internet fam has made exploring all aspects of womanhood on my platforms SO fulfilling. Every piece of content I create is intentionally made with passion and lots of love. Empowered women empower women.

  • I’m a loud and proud CARIBBEAN GIRL!

I was born and raised in the Cayman Islands to two Jamaican parents.

I’m currently located in Atlanta, Georgia, which became my second home in 2020. I quit my corporate job and risked it all to become a full time content creator. I absolutely love it here.

  • Besides being a content creator?! I love being a dog mama to Hershey, and a fiancé to my best friend. I also love FOOD… and wine. I’m a huge fan of the work hard, play hard notion.

  • Believe it or not, I’m a former athlete for the Cayman Islands’ U-17 national football (aka soccer) team. In 2010, we made history as the first national program to qualify for the World Cup CONCACAF qualifying round, where I scored the winning header in our game against Haiti!
